Bread Society (part of BreadTalk Group) introduces their version of salted egg croissant, at a price point that left customers lining up at their sister bakery outlet Bread Talk all over Singapore.
These were very similar to the ones at Bread Talk and the reason why I went to the one at Bread Society (somehow the hype is centralised at their Bread Talk) was because there were no snake queues.
We have been having an influx of salted egg croissants at cafes and bakery alike, but at $1.00SGD a piece?!(albeit they are bite sized, who can honestly tell me they don’t feel ‘fatty’ after consuming the whole regular sized croissant on their own?)
The golden lava croissant at BreadTalk & Bread Society tops my list of cheapest and most probably the better tasting ones in Singapore. They taste similar to the custard egg mooncake from Peninsula HK, and in terms of the filling’s consistency, they hit right notes.
