Neon Pigeon

When I first heard about Neon Pigeon, the first thing that came to mind was, “Yardbird” version in Singapore. I had high expectations for this restaurant, but it failed to impress me. Or perhaps just the fact that my whisky highball tasted like gin and tonic without the gin.

Overall dining experience didn’t hit the right notes either, service was slow and the place was way..way to pack for me to enjoy my dinner. The layout is such that every table seems like a bar counter, so you get little to no space for anything.

Chilled Cucumber with crushed chilli peanuts, nori & goma [S$7]
Beef Gyoza
Slow-cooked Octopus with Cauliflower puree and shichimi [S$18] – Had to chew this till infinity
Korean Fried Chicken with gochujang glaze and shredded cabbage 

Roasted Pumpkin rice with shiitake, preserved lemon, crispy garlic & Egg Yolk [S$15]
